Dear Suelena,

This is just a note to tell you how terrific I thought the Brazil Estates General was. Your hard work resulted in a fully-attended three days with lots of passionate engagement. Thank you very much for having included me as a presenter, as it was a very moving and stimulating experience for me.

I understand there was lots of controversy about Tariq Ali the last day; maybe it's because I am from the U.S., but I found his analysis (I always do) a welcome antedote to the rhetoric, ideology and world view of the U.S. that dominates international media. I'm glad you invited him.

Hope we remain in touch and see one another, if not before, then at the next Estates General, where we can have a chance to chat!
